It is never too early to learn the lessons of entrepreneurship such as creative thinking, financial literacy, and effective communication. Even if young kids do not aspire to become entrepreneurs, learning to think like one and developing those skill sets can give them a competitive edge.
The goal of our local initiative in Calgary is to educate and engage underprivileged children by teaching them entrepreneurial skills such as innovation, creative thinking, self-management, and effective communication. This program will focus on basic business concepts such as financial literacy, financial planning, decision-making, problem-solving, production, operations, and marketing and sales.
By the end of the program, students will have hands-on experience and learn the basic skills required to plan and run a small business. The skills that they learn will empower them to become more creative individuals and better leaders. This experience will give them the confidence to execute their own businesses in the future.
